Partners

Built from experience.

Every partner relationship on this page was built from lived experience — not name recognition.

We've been patients at Dana-Farber. We know the people behind Cancer Can't. We've crossed the finish lines of the PMC and the Walk ourselves. These aren't partnerships — they're relationships.

Dana-Farber is where Mike has been treated — twice. It's where Dr. Eric Jacobsen guided the family through two diagnoses, two treatment plans, and a stem cell transplant. It's also one of the world's leading cancer research institutions — partly responsible for over half of the FDA's most recently approved cancer drugs.

Team Pisco raises funds for Dana-Farber through the PMC and Jimmy Fund Walk. 100% of donations go directly to research and patient care. Mike also serves on Dana-Farber's Patient & Family Advisory Council, working with hospital leadership to improve the patient experience from the inside.

Cancer Can't was founded by Joe and Jamie Callahan of Duxbury after Jamie overcame her own lymphoma. Joe gave Mike some of the most useful advice he received before starting chemo: be prepared to adapt and change. That friendship became a partnership.

Cancer Can't provides direct financial assistance to families in active cancer treatment — covering groceries, transportation, and household bills. Team Pisco will be hosting future events with all proceeds going directly to Cancer Can't's family support fund.

The PMC has raised over $1 billion for Dana-Farber since 1980. 100% of rider-raised funds go directly to the Jimmy Fund — no overhead. Team Pisco rode their first PMC in August 2025, seven weeks after Mike's stem cell transplant discharge. It was about proving that cancer doesn't get to be the last word.

The Jimmy Fund Walk follows the Boston Marathon route in October, raising awareness and benefiting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Team Pisco has participated every year since 2023 — starting when Mike was two weeks into his first chemo cycle. His mother, Marilynn, has done the walk for 25 years. None of them expected to be walking it for Mike. Now they walk it because of everything it represents.
